I am a composer and musician. I’ve played with Dua Lipa, Jessie Ware, Kylie Minogue, La Roux and many other artists.

My music has been heard on the BBC, ITV, Nickelodeon, Channel 4 and Prime. I have written many podcast themes including Reasons To Be Cheerful, The Football Ramble and Sara Pascoe’s Sex Power Money. I write and perform as an artist, notably in the group Stats.

As composer

I composed for Slam Films’ ITV2 sitcom ‘Deep Heat’ (2022). From the creative team’s brief we evolved a warm, energetic house style somewhere between Northern Soul and rockabilly that we called ‘Elvis at Butlins’.

I made trailer and BTS music for ‘Lost Origin’, a pioneering immersive theatrical experience by Sky, Almeida Theatre and Factory 42 (2022).

I was series composer for the Nickelodeon / Viacom 20-episode series ‘Goldie’s Oldies’, currently airing internationally in over 150 countries. The show won the 2021 Venice TV Awards Gold Medal for Children/Youth programme, judged on the episode ‘Stealth & Safety’, and was nominated for an RTS award. I wrote all the music for the series, including the theme tune.

My work has been featured on the BBC4 documentary ‘Can You Feel It: How Dance Music Conquered The World’, BBC1’s ‘Chloe’, C4’s ‘Made In Chelsea’, Amazon Prime’s ‘The Grand Tour’ and many others.

I’ve made themes for successful podcasts including Geoff Lloyd and Ed Miliband’s Reasons To Be Cheerful, The Football Ramble, Sara Pascoe’s Sex Power Money, The Face magazine’s My Public Me and UN Chief Christiana Figueres’s Outrage + Optimism. I made incidental music for the Google / Financial Times interactive audio tour Hidden Cities Berlin. I have made production music albums with several companies that are used in TV, ads, online and film.

As performer

I play guitar, bass and keys for Jessie Ware. We’re currently on the campaign for her new album ‘That! Feels Good!’, touring in the US, UK and Australia following a summer of European festivals. I joined Jessie on her What’s Your Pleasure tour. – following a UK tour in winter 2021 we played two nights at Brixton Academy in May 2022, then UK festivals including headlining the Park stage at Glastonbury. In autumn 2022 we completed a US tour of headline shows, and a six-night stint in Chicago supporting Harry Styles, followed by dates in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Chile.

I was Dua Lipa’s guitar and keys player for the first two years of her career. Before that I played with La Roux for three and a half years in her acclaimed Trouble In Paradise band.

I’ve toured and played broadcast and studio sessions for artists including Kylie Minogue, Dermot Kennedy, Jax Jones, Izzy Bizu, Saint Raymond and Razorlight.

I’ve toured in 39 countries and played most major global festivals including Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, Coachella, SXSW, Summer Sonic in Japan, Sziget and Pukkelpop. I’ve got extensive TV and radio experience, both pre-record and live-to-air, including Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Night with Seth Meyers, Britain’s Got Talent, Good Morning America, Radio 1 Live Lounge, The X Factor, The One Show and BBC1 Glastonbury coverage.

As artist

I write songs and perform as an independent artist, mostly recently with my band Stats. We released two albums on Memphis Industries. Singles from our 2020 release ‘Powys 1999’ had extensive airplay at BBC 6 Music from Lauren Laverne (“I couldn’t love Stats more…one of the year’s best”), Amy Lamé and Steve Lamacq, at BBC Radio 1 from Jack Saunders and at Radio X from John Kennedy. The album received great acclaim from - among others - Uncut magazine, The Line Of Best Fit, NME and Classic Pop. Fans of the band include Elton John and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who described our song ‘Lose It’ as “Fleabag’s unofficial anthem”.
